15th Implementation Support Mission, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Davao del Sur, South Cotabato, Sarrangani, Lanao del Sur and Zamboanga del Sur, March 6 to 10, 2017
Mindanao Trust Fund representatives, including staff from the Community and Family Services International and Mindanao Land Foundation, Incorporated visited 15 communities across seven provinces during the 15th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) from March 6 to 10, 2017.
Representatives engaged beneficiaries in community discussions, technically assessed the soundness of nearly-completed infrastructure and studied the progress of livelihood projects under Camps, Bangsamoro Solidarity and Bangsamoro ADVANCE. The monitoring mechanism, held every three months, provides immediate feedback to MTF representatives on the soundness of program deliverables on the ground.
Since the Mindanao Trust Fund-Reconstruction and Development Program started in 2006, the 15th ISM is considered the last field visit before the three community-driven programs close on March 31, 2017. By the end of the month, approximately over 650,000 Muslims, Christians and IPs in 314 conflict-affected communities would have benefited from 577 community-driven livelihood, infrastructure and Alternative Learning System projects.
