The MTF held a five-day field mission in 15 communities across five regions in Mindanao to review program performance of its four programs: PLEDGE, Bangsamoro ADVANCE, Bangsamoro Solidarity and Camps.
Working Together for Water
From 2006 to 2015, the Mindanao Trust Fund (MTF) funded 64 water systems, which benefitted over 82,000 Muslims, Christians, and Indigenous Peoples across six regions in Mindanao.
People's Organizations managing these income-generating projects also reported better management practices due to the capacity-building trainings provided by the Bangsamoro Development Agency, who serves as the MTF's main implementing partner on the ground.
PLEDGE Graduation Ceremony, Mamaanun, Piagapo, Lanao del Sur, March 11, 2016
On March 11, 2016, 103 PLEDGE beneficiaries completed four enterprise trainings in Mamaanun, Piagapo, Lanao del Sur.
PLEDGE, the livelihood component of the Mindanao Trust Fund, helps beneficiaries build businesses through the provision of equipment, facilitation of trainings, and formation of linkages with outside markets. These are provided to help farming and fishing communities increase their income and provide employment.
People's Organization Convention, Davao City, December 17 and 18, 2015
The People’s Organization (PO) Convention, the first hosted by the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), showcased the best management practices of 30 income-generating POs under the Mindanao Trust Fund.
During the two-day event, the POs shared cross learning in program implementation and exhibited regional products and culture to promote awareness, understanding, and appreciation of Mindanao’s rich resources and diverse arts.
12th Implementation Support Mission, Central Mindanao, Davao, Zamboanga Peninsula and Ranaw Regions, November 23 to 27, 2015
The Mindanao Trust Fund held its 12th Implementation Support Mission (ISM) on November 23 to 27, 2015. Conducted every six months to access program implementation on the ground, MTF representatives from the European Union, the Australian Embassy, the World Bank, the Office of the Presidential Advisor on the Peace Process, and the Bangsamoro Development Agency visited 10 barangays across Central Mindanao, Davao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Ranaw regions.

MTF's technical and funding assistance to the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) in the formulation of the Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) was arguably the most important capacity-building achievement of the Facility since its inception. Now—as evidenced by the wide acceptance and support of the international and national communities for the BDP—the BDA, the development arm of the MILF, is recognized as equipped to formulate macro-level development planning and investment programming.
Bangsamoro Development Plan Turn Over Ceremony, Camp Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, November 2, 2014
The Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) submitted the completed Bangsamoro Development Plan to the MILF in Camp Darapanan on November 2, 2014 with government and international community support. Built from the 2012 Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro, the BDP was designed to promote socioeconomic recovery and rehabilitation in the region by strengthening institutions; promoting jobs and livelihood and improved access to basic services; and helping establish rule of law and security.
Institutional Strengthening Agreement
The Mindanao Trust Fund and the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) continued socioeconomic efforts on the ground with the signing of the Institutional Strengthening Agreement (ISA). The program, which will run from July to December 2015, will build on the gains achieved by the Program Partnership Agreement 4 (PPA4) by further strengthening capacities of Bangsamoro institutions to deliver much needed basic services to conflict-affected communities in Mindanao.
PLEDGE Project: Barangay Koronadal Proper
82 PLEDGE beneficiaries completed four community-based enterprise trainings in Barangay Koronadal Proper, Polomolok. The graduation ceremony, featured in ABS-CBN TV Patrol Socksargen, highlighted strong local government support and the active participation of People's Organizations in the selection and implementation of their respective businesses. PLEDGE, formed in 2012, helps create livelihood and employment in 12 conflict-affected communities in Mindanao.
