Project Component Description

The PLEDGE component helps to form new or strengthens existing community-based enterprises in conflict-affected areas of Mindanao through the provision of business training, market linkages and the provision of tools and equipment. The component also provides skills training for wage employment.

The component also seeks to build the capacity of the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) to implement and monitor projects to promote local economic development through training and by facilitating networks and public and private partnerships with national, regional, and local institutions.
 

Objective

To contribute to confidence- and peace-building efforts through local economic development and sustainable livelihood creation in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao.
